Advances in mobile and internet technologies are reshaping societies around the world. Every day these technologies become cheaper, simpler and more reliable. Digital Democracy is a non-profit organization based in New York city that works globally to empower marginalized communities. Working directly with grassroots organizations and local technology groups, we develop information and communication tools to help communities build their capacity and raise their profiles. Emphasizing the need for new media literacy, we prepare communities with the tools they need to be informed and engaged citizens in the 21st century.
